Gratitude Brings Harmony in Relationship

Being grateful to each other definitely brings closeness in relations, be it between parents and children husband and wife, employer and workers.

Gratitude possesses a uniquely great power in promoting relationships. Gratitude has been statistically linked to happiness and it plays a central role in human social relations. It makes relationships more meaningful whether it is with vendors, customers, clients, businessmen, spouses, children, students or anyone.

Companies, firms, organizations and institutes can deliberately infuse their environments with positivity, from top to bottom, by simply expressing gratitude. These types of organizations have been proven to be among the best places to work at, do business with, to inculcate human values and achieve success.

To develop this attitude and maintain good relations you need to be aware of this checklist:

  • Use magical expressions like ”well done", ”good job”, "thank you", ”please”.
  • Grant credibility to the right person. Don't hide his or her talent or accomplishments.
  • Create effective bonds and relations by giving timely and specific gratitude.
  • First give praise for good job and then can give critical views for further improvement.
  • Inspire everybody to make hearty gratitude a natural part of life.

Supervisors, leaders, and co-workers can all help build an attitude of gratitude by acknowledging the contributions of others. Thank your employees for their effort. Thank your business partner for being so reliable. If you want more, give more -it's pretty simple. Expressing gratitude enhances morale, boosts performance, fosters relationships, and provides a significant return on investment.

A Key Aspect of Etiquette: An Art of the Thank-you Note.

It is meant to acknowledge a gift, service, or kind gesture. As it is designed to be a brief expression of gratitude, it does not have to be very long. Handwritten thank-you notes are not only still appreciated, but are able to attract special attention of others and leave a marvelous impression.

A grateful heart is a heart full of love and childlike excitement. It is open to receive as well as give with pure intentions at all times. Say “Thank You" and feel richer when someone passes us a cup of coffee, we say “thank you”. How come when the Universe passes us yet another blessing, we gladly take it, convinced that we deserve it? Make it a habit to give thanks for every Present in your life - both big and small, and you will instantly feel richer.

Think of old friends who have shared their happiest moments with you. Think of your grandmother who was always worried that you were not eating well enough. Think of all the people who have taught you something or helped you in some way. Each and every one of them has left a small imprint on your life, making it happier, richer and more beautiful.

The roots of all goodness lie in the soil of appreciation for goodness. - The Dalai Lama

"If a fellow isn't thankful for what he's got, he isn't likely to be thankful for what he's going to get.” - Frank A. Clark

“In everyone’s life, at some time, the inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit”- Albert Schweitzer

Once established as a force within us, our gratitude naturally begins radiating toward others.

3 Simple Methods to Develop Attitude of Gratitude

Formulate a mental gratitude list: Visualize all the things you're grateful for. They all grant you a sense of joy, peace and progress.

Fashion a written gratitude list: Read the list at least once every day. As you read and contemplate your list, notice how you begin to be inspired to reciprocate by sharing with others.

Express your gratitude to yourself and others. This step is essential in completing the gratitude cycle. As you begin to acknowledge all that you have, you come to recognize everything in life particularly that which is challenging, is a gift. Consciously celebrate each gift, and out of your resulting joy will come a desire to pay it forward.
