Baraut

is a city and a municipal board in Baghpat district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. Earlier it was under Meerut District which was bifurcated into Meerut and Baghpat districts. In present it is a education hub for all the villagers which are situated around Baraut.

This small town is mostly inhabited by traders and farmers, most of the population consists of Jats, Muslims, Jains with Sikhs and Christians being the minority. The city is famous for its Jain temples and grand Jain functions organised every year. It is also famous for its rim and excel in all over India, which are to be used in vehicles.
