As informed earlier by the Nomination Committee, we had an overwhelming response to both the Board of Director (BOD) and Executive Committee (EC) positions for 2015-2016. We have four candidates running for two open BOD positions and thirteen candidates running for seven open EC positions (one has dropped out for personal reasons since our last communication).

Mail-In Ballots

Mail-in-ballots have been prepared and are being mailed this week to all eligible Life Members ONLY at their registered address on our file. Please note that to be eligible to vote a life member must be 21 years old and must have become a life member prior to June 30, 2013 per our By-Laws.

If you have moved and not updated your address with the Jain Center yet, please send a message to with your full name, spouse name and your new and old address. If we get the Mail-in-ballot returned to us then we will forward it to your new address. Please read all the instructions in the mail-in-ballots very carefully and return your mail-in-ballots post marked no later than Monday, November 17, 2014.

Online Voting Instructions:

Similar to last year, we will provide an online Voting Service to anyone who is not able to use the Mail-in-ballot for any reason. Please follow the online voting instructions listed below and remember  that you can only vote once using either of the two methods. If you vote by both methods, your vote will be voided, so please vote only ONCE.

  1. Request online voting by e-mail to , by November 7, 2014.
  2. Please provide your full name (including spouse name), phone # and your address on file with the request for Life membership verification.
  3. Once confirmed, you will receive by e-mail a link with Login # and Password.
  4. Login # and Password can be used to vote, one or two times, depending on number of Life Members at the address.
  5. Review your vote before submitting because you will not be able to change later.
  6. Online voting will be allowed till November 17, 2014 (midnight).

Candidate Speeches

Also please mark your calendar for Sunday November 2nd, 2014 at 1:15 pm immediately after pathshala upstairs in the classroom 1 & 2, where each candidates will be given 3 minutes to give a speech to introduce themselves to the community and explain why you should vote for them. So be there to listen and select your candidates. We are also attaching their e-mail campaign message here to help you decide who you want to vote for.

Transparent and Confidential Process

Election Committee would like to assure all members that, the voting process will be very transparent and completely confidential. There will be no trail kept of how a member has voted regardless of the method used. We request all members to vote responsibly and take an active role in this election process.
