Gnana Pancham was on Tuesday 28 October. However, SCVP will be celebrating this very important Jain Fesitval on Friday 7 November when SCVP Jain School resumes following mid term.
Gnana Pancham,is the day of knowledge, when the scriptures - which impart knowledge to the people - are worshipped with religious devotion.
As we know Samyak Gnana (complete knowledge), together with Samyak Darshan & Charitra, is essential for attaining Moksha. It is therefore very important for children and adults alike to worship knowledge as by doing so, Karmas pertaining to knowledge are destroyed and memory is enhanced. This helps our worldly and spiritual life.
