Fusion Bhakti Program By Kummarji Chatterjee - August 29, 2015

JCSC is very excited to present a unique audio-visual based Sangeet program on Jain Stavans & Mantra in different Ragas with fusion music by a well renowned artist from India, Kummar Chatterjee. Kummarji has previously performed at JCSC in 2012 and amazed everyone with his unique style. Recently Kummarji was awarded a Dharma Dhaja by International Jain Foundation and he has been invited to participate in the World Religious Conference later this year in Utah.
He has performed extensively not only in India but throughout the world and has entertained attendees of all ages. An artist of his caliber and accomplishments is very hard to find and we are very fortunate that he is available here for us to enjoy. Attached clips and articles along with his bio-data will give you some flavor of his work and accomplishments. Kummarji not only entertains but also promotes Jainism and the understanding of the deep meanings behind all Mantra and Stavans that we love so dearly.
This event is scheduled on Saturday, August 29, 2015 from 8-11 pm in the main hall at the Jain Center. We hope that you will mark your calendar. We realize that it is a short notice and there may be conflicts with other planned events. However, this will be a program not to be missed. We sincerely hope that you will make every effort to attend. We guarantee that you will not be disappointed.
To put together a program like this, we need all kind of support from you including but not limited to financial support to pay for the cost of this event. We welcome sponsors and donations of any amount small and large. Any surplus collection after paying for all incurred costs will go to the Jain Center. Wellness Challenge: Get A Physical Exam Or A Health Screening

For the upcoming weekly challenge we are challenging the participants to "get a physical exam or a health screening.” The physical exam is an essential part of any doctor's visit. Surprisingly, though, there are no absolutes in a routine physical. A good doctor may be thorough or brief, but he or she will spend time listening to your concerns and providing counseling for your particular needs. For more information and to participate in the challenge, clickhere

Logassa Challenge

Summer is half over and before we know it, Paryushan Parv will be approaching. Are you ready to challenge yourself and others with learning and reciting the Logassa Sutra? Let’s use the month of August to brush up on Shree Logassa Sutra. How can you accomplish this BIG challenge?

Try two lines a day and in seven days you should be a pro.  Please refer to the karaoke lyrics to learn the pronunciation and online materials for the meaning.

Be ready for Paryushana Parv by knowing the Shri Logassa Sutra. You can still register and recite the Sutra as part of the challenge. Join the many who have already completed the challenge and have their name on the Logassa Board.
