White house fellow program - President Obama's message.

A half century ago, President Lyndon B. Johnson opened a new chapter of civic engagement and participation in the American story with the establishment of the White House Fellow Program.

Since the program's founding, generations of Fellows have made invaluable contributions to our Nation through their service. Driven by the belief that " a genuinely free society cannot be spectator society," President Johnson's vision of a country where citizens of all backgroung have opportunities to lend their talents to the cause of strengthening their Government lives on today as a vital part of our democracy through the White House Fellow Program.

4. NEPAL EARTHQUAKE RELIEF UPDATE

Thank you for your generous donations of $ 80,000 for Nepal Earthquake relief fund. JAINA’s World Community Service has distributed $ 51,000 to Veerayatan school project in Nepal and $ 25,000 to Bidada Sarvodaya Trust for infrastructure projects in Nepal. Acharya Dr. Lokesh Muni addressed WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) summit organized during Parliament of World’s Religions at Salt Lake City, USA in the prestigious presence of Swami Chidanand Saraswati Ji, President of Global Interfaith Wash Alliance, Secretary General Sadhvi Bhagwati Ji and many interfaith leaders, scholars and dignitaries said that Global Interfaith Wash Alliance (GIWA) is constantly making efforts to create awareness in the world for safe water, sanitation and hygiene through social revolution ‘WASH’
