2016 JCSC Calendar Distribution

This message is to inform everyone that our highly anticipated annual JCSC Calendar for year 2016 are ready. Many volunteers have worked very hard to put it all together. It will be available for pickup at the temple on Sunday, December 13, 2015 from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm. One calendar will be available for each family.

We need your help to make the calendar distribution very quick and smooth. We will use a different method this time and everyone is requested to please follow the procedures outlined below. This is the only way we can keep track of who has picked up the calendars.
Please cooperate and follow the procedure outlined below to pick up the calendar.

Step 1: Find your Registration Id (Member Number).

Step 2: Find & pickup your mailing Address Label with the matching Registration Id.

Step 3: Show the mailing address label to receive the 2016 JCSC Calendar.

Step 4: Verify the information on the mailing address label is correct.

By picking up the calendar at the temple, you will help JCSC save the cost of mailing the calendar. You may pickup for any family members as well. Just follow the same steps for each family/friend. Please remember your own Registration Id (Member Number) for future to help maintain your membership information.

Once again, we really appreciate your understanding and cooperation to make this process very smooth and quick. Please remember that this process will be strictly observed to distribute the calendars. Enjoy the beautiful 2016 JCSC Calendar. If you are available and interested to help out with the process on coming Sunday, please send an email with your contact information to  "".

How to find Registration Id (Member Number)?

There are two ways to find it.
A. If you know your Login information from the Registration process, you can go to our website "www.jaincenter.org" and click on Member Login and enter your email & password. You will find your Registration Id (Member Number) in the Profile Information, which is a number between 1 and 1309.
B. If you do not know your Login information, your Registration Id will be provided at the temple this Sunday. We will have printed list in the first name sequence available showing your Registration Id (Member Number) and some volunteers to help.

How to find the mailing address label with your matching Registration Id?

A. Once you have your Registration Id (Member Number), please proceed to the table with the specified range that includes your Registration Id (For Example: 1-400, 401-800 etc)
B. Tell them your Registration Id (Member Number) and they will give you a corresponding address label that matches your Registration Id. Please verify the name and address.

How to receive the 2016 JCSC Calendar?

Once you find your mailing address label, please proceed to the table with all the calendars and show them the mailing address label. They will give you a calendar. Be sure to put the address label on the calendar so we know who it belongs to in case if it is lost.

Please verify that the mailing address label and all information on it are correct. If so, you are done.

If it is not, please let someone on the Registration Desk know so it can be corrected.

Wellness Challenge - Refrain From Sweets & Desserts For 1 Week

For the upcoming weekly challenge we are challenging the participants to "refrain from having dessert and sweets for a week.” Eating too many of these empty calories has many health effects, the most obvious being major weight gain. Added sugar drives your insulin levels up, messes with your metabolism, and causes those calories to turn right into belly fat. For more information and to participate in the challenge, click here.

1. Anya Shah to feature in City Of Hope float at Rose Parade
Hello. In case you do not know, I am Anya, the daughter of Ajit and Nirali Shah and granddaughter of Chunilal and Ila Shah. I’m writing this holiday season to share some exciting news. As some of you may already know, the Rose Parade is held annually on January 1st. City of Hope always gets its own float every year, and I have been so lucky to be invited this year to ride on their float as a patient survivor. Basically, I’m going to be in the Rose Parade!
Since the day I found out I had cancer at the young age of 8, I have come a long way; I haven’t just grown in height, I also grew in awareness and understanding of cancer. Cancer may seem devastating, but it actually is just another obstacle in life to overcome. The Rose Parade symbolizes a new year in my life with a fresh start, cancer free.  More than anything, my fight with cancer has taught me to value every moment and new experience that life has to offer.
The Rose Parade represents the successful journey I’ve completed and my happiness to be a spokesperson for other survivors. Hopefully, as I sit on the City of Hope float and wave to a national and international audience, I will inspire courage and hope in those fighting cancer right now, so that they too can look forward to a fresh new year of life.
Sincerely,
Anya Shah
