JCYC Winter Camp - 2015 - Photos available Now

JCYC Winter camp 2015 was held at the Pali Camp and Retreat from Dec 18 to Dec 21, 2015. It was a big success with a lot of snow and lot of fun!! The topic of learning was "Festivals of India' and each group of 10 students were supposed to come up with their own festival! It was mandatory for all participants to perform during the Talent show. We had more than 50 items running over 4 hours.
We took a lot of pictures. These are now posted on the JCYC Facebook page. Please click on the link below and 'Like' the page. These will be made available on the Jain Center website also soon.

Mahavir Janam Kalyanak 2016 Program Guidelines

MJK Cultural Program will be celebrated at the Jain Center of Southern California on Sunday, April 24, 2016. We need to make sure that we are ready for a good, entertaining and professional program for that day. Deadline to submit/register for participation is Sunday, January 17th 2016. Registration is by email only to the contacts below by the deadline.  Groups that wish to perform at the cultural program need to review and follow these guidelines:

        1) No movie songs OR repeat performances of that day or past 3 years.

        2) Minimum # of 5 participants. No Solo items.

        3) A participant can only participate in 1 performance.

        4) Number of plays will be limited to and will be decided after the audition.

Wellness Challenge - Get A  Physical Exam Or Health Screening

For the upcoming weekly challenge we are challenging the participants to "get a physical exam or a health screening.” The physical exam is an essential part of any doctor's visit. Surprisingly, though, there are no absolutes in a routine physical. A good doctor may be thorough or brief, but he or she will spend time listening to your concerns and providing counseling for your particular needs.
