Mahaveer Jayanti was celebrated in two sessions. In the first session, around 300 lay followers of Guwahati went Nalbari in the feet of His Holiness Acharya Mahashraman during the Prime Sermon and rally. Terapanth Mahila Mandal and Kanya Mandal presented a devotional song and Gyanshala students played a skit of Lord Mahaveer's life story on this occasion.
In the second session, a Bhajan (devotional song) programme was organized for many Jain communities like - Mahaveer Mahila Parishad, Digambar Samaaj, Sthanakwasi Samaaj, Parshva Mahila Samaaj and Sadhumargi and they also took an active part in this.
A press conference was also organized by Acharya Mahashraman Chaturmas Pravas Vyavastha Samiti, Guwahati.
