⊱✿ Principles followed by the facto followers of Non-Violence, Ascetic Sage [Jaina nude-skyclad saints] ✿⊰ #21
1. They wont take bath or brush their their teeth.They just wash their hands and feet and face after going for excretion. They just rub their teeth with finger after eating food. But they are not permitted to use brush and bathe, as we do. The eason is that, by that action, microbes and other small organisms on our body may die. And, a Nrgrantha is to see that no creature dies by his behavior.
2. They take food only once a day.That too is a strict practice. They can not use dishes or dining table. They stand, stretch out their palms, and somebody put food into their open palms. That they test by perusing cleanly and, after confirming that no germ, nor any other dust is there in it, they eat it. If any such thing is found, they leave it there itself, and no food will be taken by them till next day.
3. If they hear any cry- of an animal, or a person in distress etc, while taking food, they give up their food then itself.
4. The food they take is simple and tasteless. They take rice, chapathis [muffin - a type of bread] made of wheat, some curry(without salt), coconut water.The food is just to get minimum strength required to maintain life activities.
5. They often take 'hunger vow'-i.e., no food for the day. Sometimes, this hunger vow continues for even eight days.The great nude saint of twentieth century, Acarya Shantisagara ji maharaj, had a total period of twenty-six years of hunger in his life span of seventy years.
6. They should not use vehicles for movement.They have to walk by walking only.And they walk faster than us!As they are not supposed to use vehicles, they cannot be seen in foreign countries.They are seen only in India.
7. They do not use beds, sleeping bags, or bedsheets and rugs. They sleep on wooden planks or wooden cot, just with a mat on it.In sleep also they do not change their side,with the idea that some germ moving there might be get killed.
8. They usually do not speak at night.
9. They are not expected to involve themselves in any worldly matters.
10. Needless to say- they keep away from sex, not only physically, but also mentally. they are strictly Celibacy.
11. They keep only these things with them -a pincha(a bundle of naturally fallen peacock feathers to brush away the dust while sitting), a kamandala(a wooden vessel to clean themselves after going for excretion), shastras(religious books) and spects, if he is a person waring them.They do not keep money or any valuable things.
12. They are not supposed to get angry- even to one who blames them.
13. They don't even drink water after their regular food, i.e. once a day.
14. They remove their hairs on their face and head only with their hands/ They wont use tools for that.
**Laughing at nude saints is easy. But how many of us can follow these things?**
A Jain nude saint gives up food during his last days.When he is about to die,other saints keep telling him the philosophy of soul and body this is called 'Art of dieing'

पल पल देते रहे परीक्षा, लेकिन करूणा को नहीं छोड़ा
मधुबन के मालिक होकर के, तुमने कोई फूल ना तोडा विद्या सागर इस धरती पर, फिर महावीर बनकर आया
देख तुम्हारे कोमल तन को, धरती का बिस्तर शर्माया!!
सत्य का चलता साशन तुमसे, सत्य का अनुसाशन तुमसे
इसलिए तो आज सुशोभित त्याग का सिंघासन तुमसे!!
दर्द का सागर पी डाला, एक आंसू तक ना छलकाया
देख तुम्हारे कोमल तन को, धरती का बिस्तर शर्माया!!i

शंका समाधान

१. अगर घर परिवार में कोई व्रत / उपवास कर रहा हो तो उसकी अनुमोदना करिये उसको सहयोग करना चाहिए! ऐसा करने से उसके पुण्य का एक भाग आपको भी मिलता है!
२. गांवों और शहरों में संतुलन स्थापित करना बहुत जरूरी है! आजकल की लड़कियों को ये नहीं सोचना चाहिए की ये छोटी जगह है, आजकल सब तरह की सुविधाएँ सभी जहग हैं! गांव वालो को अपनी लड़की वही देनी चाहिए जहां से एक उनको भी लड़की मिले!
३. परिग्रह बहुत बड़ा पाप है! परिग्रह attachment का नाम है, संग्रह का नहीं! अच्छे या परोपकार के उद्देश्य से संग्रह किया जाए तो वो परिग्रह नहीं कहलायेगा! परिग्रह अगर कम नहीं कर पा रहे तो कम से कम उसको सीमित (limit) करना प्रारम्भ करे!
४. चार बातें ध्यान रखिये सफल / सुखी रहेंगे:
चिंता नहीं चेष्टा करें
प्रयास करे लेकिन परेशान नहीं हों
सतर्क रहो लेकिन शंका नहीं करो
प्रयत्न मेरे हाथ में हैं परिणाम नहीं
५. आत्मा को दुर्गुणों से बचाना ही आत्मा की सच्ची वैयावृत्ति है! वैयावृत्ति रत्नत्रय की रक्षा के लिए और स्व-पर कल्याण की भावना सहित होनी चाहिए!
६. जैसे हवा हर जगह है लेकिन गाड़ी के टायर में हवा डलवाने के लिए पंप पे ही जाना पड़ता है क्योंकि वहाँ प्रेशर ज्यादा होता है; वैसे ही भगवान हर जगह हैं लेकिन भगवत्वता का एहसास मंदिर में ही होता है!
७. श्री कुंडलपुर जी के बड़े बाबा का मंदिर, संसार में अद्भुत ही होगा! सभी को वहाँ जाकर ऐसे पावन छणो का लाभ जरूर लेना चाहिए और जो भी सहयोग बन सके वो करना चाहिए! अगर सर्वोच्च पाना चाहते हो तो सर्वोच्च दीजिये!
८. लोग जब तक पर-गुण सहिष्ण्ता नहीं रखेंगे तब तक ईर्ष्या का भाव बना ही रहेगा!
९. संसार के सभी दुखो से बचने का एक उपाय है की सत्संग करिये!
