Soul-
- A synonymous of Jīva (soul);
the substance which is a conglomerate (continuum) of innumerable Pradeśas (the indivisible units of the substance), all of them being characterized by consciousness.
- Dravya Ātmā.
- A synonym of Jīva (soul);
a soul which continuously undergoes transformation- sometimes becomes anguished, sometimes otherwise.
'āya'tti satatagāmitvāt.(Bhaga 20.17 Vṛ)
atati- santataṃ gacchati śuddhisaṃkleśātmakapariṇāmāntarāṇītyātmā.(UśāVṛ Pa 52)
- The soul is the knower and the knower is the soul. That, through which one knows, is the soul.
