At the end of this year 2016, there are 1 Board of Director and 7 Executive Committee
Members positions getting vacant. As Jain Center is growing bigger with lot more activities, we need a lot of help and support from the community members in accomplishing our goals. We need dedicated individuals to lead the Jain Center towards much bigger, better and eventful center.
Jain Center has announced a 3 member Nomination Committee which will see the entire process of Nomination for all these positions as follows:
1) Vipin Vadecha - Chairperson
2) Prerana Udani and
3) Dharmesh Shah.
There are 2 forms attached to this email for BOD and EC positions, which also contain the instruction for filling up these forms.

A completed Nomination form should be received on-line (JCSC Website), by regular mail, fax or E-mail at the address shown on the form. A printed copy of the same form will be available at the temple with our Pujari Ji - Amrish Bhai. All forms should be received by Monday, September 26, 2016. Mailed forms should be post-marked latest by Thursday, September 22, 2016. Forms received after Monday, September 26, 2016 midnight as well as nominations from the floor will not be accepted. A candidate may voluntarily withdraw from consideration by communicating in writing with any member of the Nomination Committee on or before Thursday, October 06, 2016. All received forms will be confirmed via email and displayed on Jain Center website - www.jaincenter.org.
We have also made arrangements so that people can submit their forms electronically from our website. To submit your forms electronically, please click on the link below and fill your details and the position you are applying for. The Nomination committee will automatically receive these forms and process them. http://jaincenter.org/nomination-announcement.php A confirmation will be sent by email upon receipt of the nomination form. Orientation manual will be emailed to all candidates after all nomination forms are received. Orientation manual has standard operating procedures and bylaws. If there are more candidates than the open positions, nomination committee will hold a meeting with all candidates to meet each other and exchange views. This meeting, if necessary, will be held at 8:30 PM on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 in Jain Center office. Notification will be sent. One of the most auspicious religious festivals is soon approaching on Saturday-Sunday, 8th-16th, October 2016 which signifies the days of Ayambil Oli, where we have approximately 50 people doing the full 9 days of Ayambil Oli and about 125 to 150 people doing Ayambil on weekends.
9:30am onwards: Navpadji Puja on Saturday, October 15,2016
We hereby present you an opportunity to sponsor the upcoming 9 days of Ayambil Oli. Sponsorship opportunities are as follows:
- $250 for each weekday Ayambil Sponsorship
- $500 each for Saturday and Sunday Ayambil Sponsorship
- $101 for Snatrapuja
- $51 for Puja (Total of 9 available)
- Asthprakari Puja, Aarti, Mangal Divo, Shahti Kalash per Ghee boli.
Grocery purchases, cooking, serving and cleaning for the entire Oli will be done by Jain Center volunteers and part-time hired help. We encourage all members to come forward and sponsor this auspicious occasion. As per our policy we shall try and accommodate as many sponsors as possible.

Wellness Challenge - Do A Set Of Balance Exercises Every Day |

For the upcoming weekly challenge, we are challenging the participants to "do a set of balance exercises every day." The whole purpose of this challenge is to increase your heart rate, exercise your heart muscles, and build your endurance. Cardio exercises are very important to keep your heart strong and healthy. They also help lower your cholesterol, burn fat, and reduce your risk of getting heart disease. Please keep in mind to choose an exercise that you are comfortable with and also practice warming up, stretching, and cooling down for these activities.
