ANEKANTVAD
The principle of the Anekantvad or Syadvada is a very valuable contribution of Jainism to world thought. This doctrine is also known as the theory of Relativity or the Philosophy of Non‑absolutisim or the philosophy of Relative Pluralism. This principle teaches us how to realize truth in its varied aspects.
Bhagavan Mahavira has said that every substance has infinite attributes and different attributes may be seen through different angles. Just as a prism has many sides, every substance or situation has many aspects which can be seen from more than one side. A man may be son of a father and father of a son or he may be someone's brother. The town in which you stay is in the south for the people of the north and is in the north for the people of the south and so on.

SHEETALNATH BHAGWAN
Sheetalnath Bhagwan is the 10th Tirthankar of the Avsarpani kaal. He was born to King Dradharath and Queen Nanda Devi in the city of Bhadilpur. He attained nirvana at Samet Shikhar and had 81 Gandhars. He took 3 bhavs after Samyak Darshan to attain Moksh. The topic of his first sermon was Samvar Bhavna.
The word samvar means the stoppage of influx of karma. In this Bhavna one thinks about stopping evil thoughts and becomes absorbed in achieving spiritual knowledge.
There are 57 ways by which we can stop or prevent coming of karmas which are as follows-
5 types of Samity 3 types of Gupti 22 types of Parishah 10 types of Yati dharma 12 types of Bhavna, and 5 types of Charitra.
One must contemplate on samity, gupti, yati dharma etc. We must carry out these types of activities and try to reduce or stop new bondage of karma. Now let us take for example a boat, it is obvious that if the boat has a hole, water will slowly creep in and eventually the boat will sink. The only way the boat can be saved is to block the hole. The same way there are many ways from where karmas can creep into our life and spoil it. We have to block these ways and save our soul.

Today, in the world of technology where everything is superfast, it is very difficult to keep balance between Jainism and modern lifestyle. As such, it is a major dilemma for many on how to ‘practice’ Jainism in our modern lifestyle.
We believe in Jain principles such as Ahimsa, Aparigraha, Anekantvad, but do we actually practice it in our daily life? Every day we perform numerous tasks, where with little consciousness and effort we can save ourselves from Jiv hinsa, Parigraha, Asatya etc.

JSCV has undertaken construction of Shikharbandh Derasar of Shri Shankeshwar Parshwanath Derasar. This Derasar is located 1/4 mile from Interstate I-95 Ext -83 (5 Miles North of Richmond).
They have requested all Jains and Jain Sangh to take Labh in 3 Mulnaik Murti for our Main Gahbhara - Nakro is kept at only $1,101.00 Aadinath Bhagwan - Parshwanath Bhagwan - Mahavirswami Bhagwan. Also only 9 thirthankers Nakro are left & for Entire gokhla in Bhamti, Tirthankara Bhagwan and including Pratishtha Labh for Life time is only $21,101.00.

HIGHWAY CLEANUP
Our center participates in Adopt-A-Highway cleanup twice a year. The statewide Adopt-A-Highway program was established in 1988 and is a joint effort between community volunteers and NC \ Department of Transportation to keep our roads clean. JSCNC adopted a stretch of Highway 54 in Cary between Morrisville Parkway and Airport Boulevard.
