For the upcoming weekly challenge, we are challenging the participants to "eat a minimum of 2 different fruits or vegetables with every meal." Vegetables and fruits are an important part of a healthy diet, and variety is as important as quantity. No single fruit or vegetable provides all of the nutrients you need to be healthy. Eat plenty every day. If you are interested in learning more and participating, click here.
TCCOP-ACC Update for December 2016
Tender Care Community Outreach Program (TCCOP) December 2016 Update
ACC (Anekant Community Center)
Our efforts of serving the community is continuing with your gracious support. We added few more projects this year and had very good support from the community.
In December we had three separate projects which we successfully completed with support from the community. They were:
- Christmas Wishes were granted for 88 Native American Students at Sherman Oak High School in Riverside California.
- We had joined hands with Smile Makers Guild of orange County. There are over 5000 seniors living either alone or in care facilities who hardly ever get any gifts. We were blessed to sponsor 50 seniors Wish List for Christmas.
- We sponsored Christmas Party Food for 55 Juvenile Detention Students and put together some care packages for the youth for Christmas thru Giving Children Hope.
We are continuing our routine of serving weekly breakfasts and monthly dinners, providing groceries, and visiting lonely patients.
We want to thank our sponsors for last month:
- Rita Vakharia
- Surajmukhi Jain(Sachi Jain’s Mother)
- Sudha Mody
- Geeta & Naresh Shah
- Harsha & Vijay Sheth for Dinner at Long Beach Church..
- Smita and Darshan Shah for donating a pallet of grocery to Giving Children Hope organization.
- Sarika and Jayesh Sheth for providing grocery to GCH for students.
- Former JCYC student for sandwiches to LA Downtown Mission for homeless.
- Anonymous donors for breakfast and Thanks Giving dinner needed items for Union Station Homeless Shelter.
Thank you in advance for your contributions.
