Kṣetravṛddhi

An Aticāra (partial transgression) of Digvrata (the sixth vow of the lay follower in which one restricts one's journey in different directions); to reduce the dimension of the accepted region for travelling in one direction and by adding it to that in another one, to extend it beyond the accepted limit.

'khettavuddhi' tti ekato yojanasataparimānamabhigrhltamanyato daśayojanānyabhigrhītāni, tataśca yasyām diśi daśa yojanāni tasyām diśi samutpanne kārye yojanaśatamadhyādapanīyānyāni daśa yojanāni tatraiva svabnddhyāpraksipati, samvardhayatyekatah.
