The figurine (छोटी मूर्ति) according to Lal, turned out to be the oldest Jain figurine found in India at the time. Keeping this key discovery of the Jain terracotta figurine in mind, coupled with the consideration that the antiquity of the Hanuman Garhi site and the disputed site at Ayodhya are the same, the question that now arises, is whether it is the Jains who can claim a˜first righta™ over Ayodhya?
Whatever may be the outcome, the fact remains that in the entire Ayodhya region where excavations have been undertaken by the ASI since 1975 a" at the disputed site, at Hanuman Garhi and Sita-ki-Rasoi a" despite the discovery of numerous coins and terracotta figurines of varied antiquity, none of them are connected to Rama Sita or Laxman, or Dashratha. And most significantly, no terracotta figurine or idol of Ram, Sita, or Laxman belonging to any vintage, was found by the ASI at the disputed site.

यशबंतपुर - हसन डेली सुपरफास्ट इंटरसिटी एक्सप्रेस (ट्रेन न. 22679) प्रतिदिन बंगलुरु से सायं 6.15 बजे चलकर श्रवणबेलगोला स्टेशन पर रात्री 8.10 बजे पहुचेगी!
हसन - यशबंतपुर डेली सुपरफास्ट इंटरसिटी एक्सप्रेस (ट्रेन न. 22680) प्रतिदिन श्रवणबेलगोला स्टेशन से प्रात: 7.06 पर चलकर बंगलुरु प्रात: 9.15 बजे पहुचेगी!
The much awaited train service along the newly laid railway line between Bengaluru (Yeshwantpur) and Hassan inaugurated by Union Minister for Railways Suresh Prabhu today.
The introduction of Train Number 22679/22680, Yeshwantpur-Hassan-Yeshwantpur Daily Superfast Intercity Express, goes a long way in cutting down travel time for passengers who otherwise had to take trains via Mysuru to reach Hassan and onwards to Mangaluru.
Train No. 22680, Hassan-Yeshwantpur Daily Superfast Intercity Express departs Hassan at 6:30 am and reaches at Shravanabelagola at 7:06/7:07 am.
In the return direction, Train No. 22679, Yeshwantpur-Hassan Daily Superfast Intercity Express departs Yeshwantpur at 6:15 pm and arrives at Shravanabelagola at 8:09/8:10 pm.
The train will have 14 coaches comprising of four Second Class Chair Car Coaches, eight Deendayalu Coaches and two Second Class Luggage-cum-Brakevan /Disabled Coaches.
Former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and Karnataka chief minister Siddarmaiah also particpated in the inaugural event.
