Ahimsa Yatra reached Pawapuri today for Mahavir Jayanti (Birthday of Tirthankara Mahavir) celebration.
A huge number of lay followers accompanied the Vihar and engrossed in the Prime Sermon. Here is a magnificent glimpse of today's Vihar and Prime Sermon.
His Holiness Acharya Mahashraman preached in today's Prime Sermon that, we are doing journey in Birth place, Wisdom place, Performance place and Salvation place of Mahavir and today we are at Pawapuri. The festival Deepawali is connected with Pawapuri according to Jain Shasan. We can say that Deepawali of Jain Shasan is appendant with Pawapuri. Lord Mahavir attained salvation on Kartik Amavasya (15th day of the month Kartik according to Hindu Calendar). In the context of that salvation people lighten up lamps - one great splendor has gone now the surrounding lighten up with the small lamps or any other available instruments of lighting. Kings of that time made this lighting in their way. So that festival of light is connected with Lord Mahavir according to Jain Shasan.
