His Holiness Acharya Mahashraman preached in today's Prime Sermon that, one question occurred - Amavasya is observed as inadvertence but then why we rejoice on Kartik Amavasya? People get enthusiastic, they eat and share sweets, markets cut-price etc. Why this zestful atmosphere becomes on Amavasya? His Holiness explained - It is told in Sanskrit literature. Though in some different way and I will tell it little differently - Kartik Amavasya has been connected to the Lord Mahavir that is why it became renowned. Lord Mahavir attained salvation on Kartik Amavasya. Therefore the one who is related to Lord Mahavir why will he not attain prestige?
