        Shibir on MokshMala - Jun 24 - 25, 2017

The spiritual guide of Mahatma Gandhi and Bhagwan Shree Mahavir Swami’s pupil, Shrimad Rajchandra  wrote the "MokshMala", a scripture-like short treatise which can be understood by young & old alike.  It consists of 108 Lessons written in simple Gujarati, each less than a page.   Almost a fourth of them are short popular stories including Bhagwan Mahavir, Gautam Swami, King Shrenik, Abhayakumar and others.  In the "MokshMala", there is meaningful preaching of Tirthankars to make our life spiritual, noble, uplifting and soul-centered.  The essence of Jainism is taught here.

On the auspicious occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Shrimad Rajchandraji, let us study and elevate our soul.  This is the main goal.  To help in this regard and to inspire the aspirants,
a Shibir is organized during the weekend of June 24-25 at our Jain Center in Aradhna Hall. The Shibir program is:

        Saturday 6/24,      10:00 AM to 12:00 PM          Session 1
12:00 PM to 01:00 PM          Light lunch
        1:00 PM to 3:00 PM              Session 2
3:00 PM to 3:30 PM              Tea break
        3:30 PM to 5:30 PM              Session 3

        Sunday 6/25          10:00 AM to 12:00 PM          Session 4
12:00 PM to 1:00 PM             Light lunch
        1:00 PM to 3:00 PM               Session 5
        3:00 PM to 3:30 PM               Tea-break
        3:30 PM to 5:30 PM               Session-6

Although the Shibir will be conducted in Gujarati, youngsters are welcome to attend and ask questions in English during the Shibir or during the break.  Their questions will be responded to in English.  It is also expected that several learned lecturers (Swadhyaykars) from our Jain Center will actively participate. There is no cost or obligation.
