Posted: 30.08.2017

Is there life after death? Will we be born again? Was there a past life? If we did have a past life, what would it have been like? Is our present life influenced by our past life? These are some questions that need to be answered. Indian philosophy has thrown light on such queries. Science too has accepted various theories offered by it. A camp held in Jaipur on Preksha Meditation has thrown up amazing experiences.

Indian philosophy stresses on the existence of soul. According to Jainism the soul is immortal. It was there, it is there and it will be there. It is responsible for its karma. Whatever deed one does one has to bear its after effects. Whatever man undergoes in the present birth is not only because of circumstances but also the results of the deeds or karma of the previous birth.

Let us take the example of twins. Both are born together. Both are surrounded by the same circumstances. But their likes are different. Their joys, sorrows, intelligence and prosperity are different. Why?

The answer is simple. They are born with their deeds or karma of previous birth.

I have seen that some people are able to recall their previous birth and some are not able to. Actually we recall the significant episodes of previous birth. People who are balanced and cool are in a position to recall the experiences of their previous birth.

Only human beings have the capacity to recollect the incidents of previous birth. Animals cannot for they don't possess intelligence at a higher level unlike human beings. People who remain alert till their last breath, have the capacity to recall their previous birth and at the same time are able to link to their present. One continues to remember the experience of the past. But not all can recall the experiences of previous birth. It is given to very few people who remember their previous birth.
