“Om Namah Siddibehyo”

Second day of Dashalakshna Maha parva (27-Aug-2017): Uttama Mardava Dharma (Tenderness or Humility) -
Meaning: To observe the virtue of humility, subduing vanity and passions (ZERO Pride).

Mardavam: This refers to the complete absence of self-conceit (thinking we are superior among all). Such self-conceit or pride may be due to one’s own superior status, family prestige, beauty, Knowledge, wealth, courage and physical strength.
Due to these various reasons a person may entertain the feeling of self-importance and pride from inside and that human will become a victim of pride and self-conceit.

Complete avoidance of the feeling of pride is called Uttama Mardhavam or humility.

In our daily life: Our society likes human qualities such as humble, simplicity, down to earth, soft corner, this will also help us for our personal and professional growth.

Always we should try be one among all, be in the flow, not to show-off and compare our possession like Wealth/health/beauty/status/Knowledge/award with others that makes us feel pride. These possession are not constant and we may lose it at any point time in our life. These show-off and pride will also make others feel jealous(Kahaya) about us and we may end up in trouble.
