साधु बनने के बाद से अब तक 42,000 किलोमीटर की भी अधिक पदयात्रा करने के उपरान्त भी जनकल्याण के लिए अद्भुत उत्साह के साथ निरंतर गतिमान जैन श्वेताम्बर तेरापंथ धर्मसंघ के ग्यारहवें अनुशास्ता, भगवान महावीर के प्रतिनिधि आचार्यश्री महाश्रमणजी अखंड परिव्राजक के रूप में भी प्रतिष्ठित हैं। आचार्यश्री की परिव्राजकता का आलम यह है कि राजस्थान की चाहे रेतीली भूमि पर विहार हो अथवा उत्तरप्रदेश और बिहार के गंगा तटवर्ती समतल भूमि हो अथवा हिमालय पर्वत की गोद में बसे हुए नेपाल के पर्वतीय रास्ता। असम के जंगली रास्ते हों अथवा वर्तमान में छोटा नागपुर के पठारी क्षेत्र का हिस्सा ओड़िशा की भूमि मानवता के मसीहा आचार्यश्री महाश्रमणजी के ज्योतिचरण पर्वत, पठार, समतल तथा रेतीली भूमि को अपने चरणरज से पावन किया है।
ऐसे महातपस्वी, अखंड परिव्राजक आचार्यश्री महाश्रमणजी रविवार को अपनी धवल सेना के साथ ओड़िशा के जाजपुर जिले के पानीकोइली स्थित पानीकोइली नोडल हाइस्कूल से प्रातः की मंगल बेला में प्रस्थान किया। आज का विहार मार्ग प्रलंब था। इससे बेफ्रिक आचार्यश्री की समता भाव के साथ चेहरे पर मोहक मुस्कान बनी हुई थी। कुछ दूर चलने की पश्चात ही हल्की ठंड भी समाप्त हो गई और सूर्य की प्रखरता बढ़ गई थी। इस जनवरी के महीने में भी सूर्य के आतप से लोगों को पसीने आने लगे। ऐसे परिस्थिति में भी आचार्यश्री के कदम रुके नहीं तथा लगभग सतरह किलोमीटर का विहार कर आचार्यश्री बाराबाती गल्र्स/ब्वायज हाइस्कूल में पधारे।
स्कूल प्रांगण में उपस्थित श्रद्धालुओं को आचार्यश्री ने अपनी अमृतवाणी का रसपान कराते हुए कहा कि अध्यात्म जगत में तपस्या का बहुत बड़ा महत्त्व होता है। तपस्या के द्वारा आदमी आदमी अपनी आत्मा का शोधन कर लेता है। तपस्या के माध्यम से आदमी अपने पूर्वार्जित कर्मों को नष्ट कर सकता है और अपनी आत्मा का निर्मल बना सकता है अर्थात् पूर्वार्जित कर्मों को नष्ट करने का उपाय है तपस्या। तपस्या से कर्म टूटते हैं। तपस्या से निर्जरा होती है। आदमी के कर्म टूटते हैं तो आत्मा हल्की होती है और हल्की आत्मा मोक्ष की ओर गति करने में सक्षम बन सकती है। जिस प्रकार सघन बादलों के समूह को तेज हवा झोके उड़ा ले जाती है, उसी प्रकार तपस्या कर्मों के सघन बंध को भी समाप्त करने में सक्षम होती है। तप का प्रभाव कर्मों की सघनता को तोड़ देता है, नष्ट कर देता है। कर्मों को नष्ट करने की क्षमता केवल तपस्या में ही है। इसलिए आदमी को अपने जीवन में तपस्या करने का प्रयास करना चाहिए। अनाहार, जप, तप आदि के माध्यम से आदमी को तपस्या करने का प्रयास करने का प्रयास करना चाहिए। त्याग करना, किसी चीज के प्रति ज्यादा मोह नहीं रखना भी साधना है, तपस्या है।
आदमी को अपने जीवन में तपस्या के माध्यम से अपने कर्मों को नष्ट करने का प्रयास करना चाहिए।
आचार्यश्री ने मंगल प्रवचन के उपरान्त उपस्थित ग्रामीणों को अहिंसा यात्रा की अवगति प्रदान की तथा ग्रामीणों को अहिंसा यात्रा के संकल्प स्वीकार कराए। ग्रामीणों ने सहर्ष संकल्पों को स्वीकार किया और आचार्यश्री से पावन आशीर्वाद प्राप्त किया। विद्यालय के शिक्षक श्री संजय कुमार साहू ने आचार्यश्री के स्वागत में अपनी भावाभिव्यक्ति दी।
