दिनः रविवार। स्थानः कटक का बालियात्रा पडिया। अवसरः कटक में जैन श्वेताम्बर तेरापंथ धर्मसंघ के मर्यादा के महाकुंभ मर्यादा महोत्सव के लिए अपनी धवल सेना के साथ पहुंचे जैन श्वेताम्बर तेरापंथ धर्मसंघ के एकादशम देदीप्यमान महासूर्य, मानवता के मसीहा, शांतिदूत आचार्यश्री महाश्रमणजी के नागरिक अभिनन्दन समारोह का। उपस्थितिः ओड़िशा राज्य के वित्तमंत्री, स्वास्थ्य मंत्री सहित विभिन्न क्षेत्रों के गणमान्यों के अलावा आह्लादित, प्रफुल्लित सैंकड़ों-सैंकड़ों की संख्या में उपस्थित कटकवासी।
रविवार को बालियात्रा पडिया में बने मर्यादा महोत्सव के भव्य पंडाल में महातपस्वी आचार्यश्री महाश्रमणजी के नागरिक अभिनन्दन समारोह का आयोजन का हुआ। समारोह के शुभारम्भ से पूर्व आचार्यश्री की मंगल सन्निधि में साध्वीवर्याजी ने उपस्थित श्रद्धालुओं को पावन प्रेरणा प्रदान की।
तत्पश्चात उपस्थित श्रद्धालुओं को आचार्यश्री महाश्रमणजी ने अपनी अमृतवाणी का रसपान कराते हुए कहा कि आदमी के जीवन में सम्यक् दर्शन एक महत्त्वपूर्ण तत्त्व है। किसी भी क्षेत्र में सम्यक् दृष्टिकोण आवश्यक होता है। सम्यक् दृष्टिकोण का अर्थ होता है जो जैसा है उसे उसी रूप में देखना अर्थात् यथार्थ के निकट जाने का प्रयास करना अथवा यथार्थ के निकट रहना। आदमी को अपने जीवन में यथार्थ के नजदीक रहने का प्रयास करना चाहिए। कर्मों के बंध के कारण शरीर और आत्मा का संबंध बना हुआ है। पुण्य और पाप के कर्म बंध के कारण आत्मा और शरीर का संबंध हो जाता है।
आश्रम कर्मों के आने का द्वार है। पुण्य-पाप के कर्मों के आने को कोई रोक सकता है तो वह है संवर।
इसके माध्यम से कर्मों के आने के द्वार को बंद किया जा सकता है। जैसे सूर्य की उपस्थिति में अंधकार नहीं रह सकता, वैसे ही संवर की उपस्थिति मंे आश्रव नहीं रह सकता। संवर की साधना कर व निर्जरा के द्वारा आदमी को अपनी आत्मा को मोक्ष की ओर आगे बढ़ाने का प्रयास करना चाहिए। आचार्यश्री के मंगल प्रवचन के उपरान्त उपस्थित लोगों को अहिंसा यात्रा की अवगति प्रदान की तथा उपस्थित जनमेदिनी को अहिंसा यात्रा के संकल्पों को स्वीकार करने का आह्वान किया तो उपस्थित गणमान्यों सहित संपूर्ण जनमेदिनी ने अहिंसा यात्रा की संकल्पत्रयी स्वीकार की। आचार्यश्री के मंगल प्रवचन के उपरान्त साध्वी त्रिशलाकुमारीजी, साध्वी पुनीतप्रभाजी, साध्वी रश्मिप्रभाजी तथा मुनि आकाशकुमारजी ने पृथक-पृथक अभिव्यक्ति के द्वारा अपने आराध्य की अभिवन्दना की। इसके उपरान्त आरम्भ हुए नागरिक अभिनन्दन समारोह का शुभारम्भ हुआ। सर्वप्रथम मर्यादा महोत्सव व्यवस्था समिति के स्वागताध्यक्ष श्री मंगलचंद चोपड़ा, आचार्य महाश्रमण प्रवास व्यवस्था समिति के अध्यक्ष श्री मोहनलाल सिंघी ने अपने श्रद्धासिक्त भाव प्रकट किए तो कटक कन्या मंडल ने गीत के द्वारा अपने आराध्य की अभ्यर्थना की।
