Those Karma-prakrities (types of Karma) which are responsible for yielding their effect only in the Jīva (soul) itself; not anywhere else, i.e., not in the body; e.g., Jñānāvaranīya (knowledge- veiling), Darśanāvaraṇīya (intuition-veiling) etc..

jive jīvagate jnānādilakṣaṇe svarūpe vipākastadanugrahopaghātādisaṃpādanābhimukhyalakṣaṇo yāsāṃ tāḥ jīvavipākinyaḥ.
