In the last few weeks we have been working constantly on the performance of the site. Particularly in the glossary, there are widely ramified data structures that have created a high load when querying the database.
Especially the references to often mentioned persons, places or terms were affected by this matter.
To deal with this, the references are now dynamically loaded in chronological order. You know that from the magazine menu pages. You can also use the known datepicker to jump to a specific date.
Another new feature can be found in the right-hand column of a glossary entry: The top (maximum) 20 pages on which the term was mentioned most often.
Please note, that these improvements will be visible step by step on the glossary terms. We don't want to stress the system generating all the cache for all contents at once.
