Jai Jinendra!

Dear JCSC Members,

It is our pleasure to announce that the Board of Directors has proposed Bylaws changes of our JCSC bylaws.

The Bylaws committee, Board of Directors, and the Executive Committee have spent several hours to deliberate on the changes proposed in the new version of the bylaws. The Board of Directors requests that you review and accept the changes that they are recommending.

As a Jain Center life member, you can exercise your right to approve, disapprove or abstain to vote to the proposed changes on the sections and sub sections at this time. Every vote counts. Bylaws changes can only be effected by 2/3 of the life members voting. This means that we need your participation to approve any and all of these changes. Only those sections and sub sections which get a majority 'Yes" or approval will pass through in the new version of our bylaws. If you agree with just one recommendation, marking that alone will make your opinion heard and counted.

The timeline for the approval process is as follows:

  • Eligible Life Members will receive email to vote with attachments of Proposed Bylaws and Current Bylaws for review on April 7th
  • Online voting starts on April 7th and ends on May 12th at midnight. (No paper ballot voting)
  • Voting Process Q&A meeting on April 8th @ 11:00 AM to Noon @ JCSC
  • Voting Booth at Jain Center on April 8th from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM

You, your spouse and all registered life members, who have been a life member as of June 30, 2016, can vote on the bylaws ballot. Each vote counts and will be seen and accounted for on the actual day of result declaration. Even the ballot committee, the BOD or EC have no access to any ballot until actual day of results.

Thanks to the technology that we are utilizing, we will have an accurate account of members who have not voted and will continually send them reminders so as to have their opinion count. If you do not wish to be sent reminders, please vote as soon as the voting period starts.

You may connect by email, with any of the under signed committee members for questions or concerns about the process.

Thank You,
