Are you one of those singers, who always wanted to formally learn signing but could not due to various reasons?This is your chance to join JCSC Bhakti group. You will get an opportunity to lean classical music along number of Stavans from renowned southern California music teacher. Classes will be held from December to April on Pathshala days from 12:30 to 1:30. You will also get an opportunity to participate in group performance during Anniversary Cultural programs in May. Suggested donation is $150 to JCSC.

Chaitya Pari Pati program - Sunday, September 30, 2018.
During the Chaitya Pari Pati Program, we normally visit 5 different places (members Homes)and have" Chaitya Vanden" and sing various Stavans. We travel by a 56 passenger Bus, to the different Houses, and thus spend the whole Day in the religious activities. Mostly Jain Seniors participate in this program. We start from the Jain Center at 8.15 am and return back to Jain Center at around 7.30 pm.
This is an important event-One of Paryushan Kartyavayas- after the completion Of Paryushana.

Nomination Forms For EC and BOD Elections For JCSC

At the end of this year 2018, there are two(2) Board of Directors and seven(7) Executive Committee Members positions getting vacant. As Jain Center is growing bigger with lot more activities, we need a lot of help and support from the community members in accomplishing our goals. We need dedicated individuals to lead the Jain Center towards much bigger, better and eventful center.
Jain Center has announced a 3 member Nomination Committee as follows which will see the entire process of Nomination for all these positions.

We have also made arrangements so that people can submit their forms electronically from our website. Announcement & Registration Of Jain Workshop - Sep 28 - 30, 2018
JCSC along with YJA, JAYA, YJP and JAINA Education Committee have jointly organized the Jain workshop from Friday Sep 28th, 2018 to Sunday Sep 30th, 2018.

Workshop Theme and Purpose
STRIKING A BALANCE: - EXAMINING Social, Cultural, and Spiritual environment that our youth face while growing up in North America
The main purpose of the workshop is to educate both adults and youth (over 14 years of age) with regards to the fundamental principles and philosophy of Jainism and how to apply these principles in all walks of life through practical examples. This includes social, business, family, ethical, religious and spiritual environment.

For the upcoming weekly challenge, we are challenging the participants to “Eating Smaller Portions." With obesity becoming more common around the world, you may have heard the importance of eating small portions. No matter if you are concerned about your weight, your energy level, or nutritional deficiencies, eating small portions can help maintain optimal health.
