The thing which has existence is essential. There is nothing totally inessential in the world. Darkness is essential as well as light is also essential. At night when we want to sleep we need lights off. Because it is easy to sleep in darkness whereas we feel uneasy while lights are on at sleeping time. So darkness is also essential. It is very essential for a thief. Light is essential for writing, reading and other activities. People keep the torch to see the path clearly at night. So both darkness and light are essential. We cannot say darkness totally useless. This way the factor which has existence is essential in the world.
