Wellness Challenge - Fight Disease with Fruits

For the upcoming weekly challenge, we are challenging the participants to “Fight Disease with Fruits”. Fruit and vegetables should be an important part of your daily diet. They are naturally good and contain vitamins and minerals that can help to keep you healthy. They can also help protect against some diseases. Vegetables and fruit contain phytochemicals, or plant chemicals. These biologically active substances can help to protect you from some diseases. Scientific research shows that if you regularly eat lots of fruit and vegetables, you have a lower risk of Type 2 diabetes, Stroke, Heart (cardiovascular) disease - when fruits and vegetables are eaten as food, not taken as supplements, Cancer - some forms of cancer, later in life, High blood pressure (hypertension). There are many varieties of fruit available and many ways to prepare, cook and serve them. You should eat at least two serves of fruit each day. Choose different colors and varieties. A serve of fruit is about one medium piece, 2 small pieces of 1 cup canned (no added sugar).Fruits contain many vitamins and minerals that are good for your health. These include vitamins A (beta-carotene), C and E, magnesium, zinc, phosphorous and folic acid. Folic acid may reduce blood levels of homocysteine, a substance that may be a risk factor for coronary heart disease. Give your body the nutrient-dense fuel it needs, and love every minute of it!. JAAP SADHNA

Construction of the temple for the Jain Center of Los Angeles will soon begin.
To ensure the smooth and uninterrupted completion of the project JCLA seek the good wishes and blessings of all the community members.
In that regards JCLA has requested community members to join in

1. Sankli Ayambil Chain
2. Do Jaap of the three Main Bhagvan. Shree Shankheshvar Parshwanath. Shree Munisuvrat Swami and Shree Neminath
There is very good response from the community so far with Sankli Ayambil. It has been going on uninterrupted since December 2018.

Under the guidance of Pujya Acharya Maharaj Saheb, JCLA has now decided to give at no cost a 7 to 9 inch marble Pratimaji of the above three Bhagwan
to members doing Jaap and Sankli Ayambil.

This will sure create great positive vibrations and help JCLA to start and complete the project in a smooth manner.

These small marble Pratimajies will be displayed during the upcoming MJK program at JCSC with a small note to explain the purpose.
Practice the JAAP SADHNA with Navkarvalis (MALAS) each, and infuse your life with positivity, faith and a Divine Experience of Parmatma!
