India celebrated the fifth International Yoga Day on June 21st 2019. A large scale initiative was taken by Preksha Foundation along with Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad, to celebrate it with pomp and show.

The Yoga Day celebrations were held in multiple locations in and around KOLKATA including the suburbs. A few notable locations such as Safari Park, Tollygunge, South Kolkata Terapanth Bhavan, Belur Bali Sabha, Salt Lake City, Greenfield City Behala had overwhelming response.

Kolakata, New Alipore: Yoga session was conducted in the evening by Manju Sipani, Arun Kocchar and Rashmi Kocchar. 40 ladies were present.

Kolkata, Bally Belur: Mahendra Singhi and Rajendra Singhi with the help of Arun Nahata took the classes at Bally Belur Sabha.

Kolkata Bagh Bazaar and Dunlop: Jyoti Bafna and Sunita Doshi from Preksha Vahini took the Yog session. Almost 50 ladies were present.

Kolkata, Safari Park: Near about 70 enthusiasts were present early morning at to be benefitted by Yoga. The program was organised by South Kolkata Mahila Mandal and Terapanth Yuvak Parishad. Professional Yoga teachers along with Rashmi Surana taught the basic principles of Yoga and Meditation.

Kolkata, Salt Lake City: about 40 people were benefitted under the supervision of Usha Ji Dharewa and team.

South Kolkata: Mohan Lal Ji Bothra, Veena Ji Bothra and Vandana Baid took the class at Terapanth Bhavan. Close to 70 people were present.

Kolkata, South Howrah: Anju Jain, Lalita Baid, Rakesh Jain and Anita Dugar took the session

Kolkata, Tollygunge: Almost 40 people attended the camp. Shashi Gandhi and Rekha Kothari were the trainers.
