Santhara Of Sadhvishree Anandshree Ji Completed At 4.21 pm Yesterday, 03.09.2007

Whole night, there was a great rush of people at Udhana Terapanth Bhawan to pay their last homage.

The funeral procession started at 8.00 am from Udhana Terapanth Bhawan towards Umra cremation ground in Surat

The body was taken in a "Bankuti" (a special structure made of wood to carry the body in sitting posture).
The swastik {auspicious symbol indicating the gyan (knowledge), darshan (philosophy), charitra & tap} was made on clothes & mouth cloth from saffron.

In the funeral procession people (estimated 20.000) from all communities were there to show their respect towards Sadhvi shree ji. Some had even came from Mumbai, Dhulia, Aasam, & nearby towns.
Not a bit of place was empty at the funeral place Women too at funeral place to pay the last homage

Generally in Indian customs, women & girls are prohibited from going to cremation ground. But in case of death from Santhara, women & girls too went to funeral place to pay their respect.

The Coconut (it is considered auspicious to offer at the time of such death) was offered by the people at the funeral place to the dead body.
