Control Your Senses

Once upon a time there was a king, who was fond of mangoes but was unable to digest them. The doctor forbade him strictly to eat mangoes. He warned him that he would die immediately if he ate mangoes. So, the king got all mango trees in his kingdom uprooted.

One day, he set out for horse-riding along with his minister. The horse galloped swiftly and he stopped in a garden where the trees were filled with ripe mangoes. The king was very tempted.

The minister tried to abstain him from staying there. But the king did not listen to him and very soon he was unable to control his desire to eat mangoes.

As he resting under mango tree, a mango fell in his lap. The king touched it, smelt it and longed to eat it. The minister tried his best to stop the king from eating it, but the king’s temptation crossed all bounds. He finally ate the mango and died on the spot.

Those who become salves of passion and worldly pleasures, lose their precious human life for nothing.
