BLESSINGS

A story is an easy and simple way of reaching into the depths of philosophy and ethics. Jain Aagams are divided into four parts, one of which is the Dharmakathanuyog. This signifies the importance of stories.

Sadhvi Vishrut Vibha has translated some stories from the Uttaradhyayana, Gyatadharmakatha and other scriptures, into English. This book is a collection of those stories. I am certain, it will be useful to students living in India and abroad.

BLESSINGS

Stories are a form of literature which interests children, youth and the elderly. Stories impart knowledge, inspiration and creativity. Many interesting and inspiring stories are found in the Jain Aagams and in their commentaries. Since these stories are in Sanskrit and Prakrit, they do not find a wide readership.

Sadhvi Vishrut Vibhaji has translated many of these stories in English. This makes it available to the English speaking world, especially to Indian immigrants and people in India who familiar with the English language. I hope these stories will be a source of spiritual illumination for the readers.
