प्रख्यात जैन लेखक आ. भा. मगदूम उर्फ कवी वीरानुयायी यांच्या जन्मशताब्दीनिमित्त सांगली जिल्ह्यातील समडोळी या त्यांच्या गावी नुकताच भव्य कार्यक्रम आयोजीत करण्यात आला होता. कार्यक्रमाचे प्रमुख पाहुणे महाराष्ट्र राज्य ग्राहक तक्रार निवारण आयोगाचे अध्यक्ष व मुंबई उच्च न्यायालयाचे माजी न्यायमूर्ती श्री भालचन्द्र वग्याणी हे होते.
या प्रसंगी डॉ. चंद्रकांत चौगुले यांनी आ. भा. मगदूम यांच्या साहित्याचा विस्तृत परिचय करून दिला. आ. भां. च्या साहित्यातील विविधता त्यांनी उकलून दाखविली. आ. भा. मगदूम यांचे एक विद्यार्थी ने. सा.. गुरूजी यांनी आ. भां. च्या आठवनींना उजाळा दिला. त्या नंतर मगदूम कुटुम्बातर्फे श्री अनिल चव्हाण यांनी आ. भां. चे आप्तस्वकीय व वंशज यांच्या विषयी माहिती दिली.
या कार्यक्रमात आ. भा. मगदूम यांच्या 'भारतीय जैन सम्राट' या पुस्तकाचे पुन: प्रकाशन करण्यात आले.
कार्यक्रमाच्या अध्यक्षस्थानी जवाहर शेतकरी सहकारी साखर कारखान्याचे चेअरमन व माजी खासदार मा. कलाप्पा आण्णा आवाडे हे होते. कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजन दक्षिण भारत जैन सभेच्या पदवीधर संघटनेने केले होते. या कार्यक्रमास दक्षिण भारत जैन सभा व पदवीधर संघटनेचे पदाधिकारी आणि समडोळी व परीसरातील ग्रामस्थ मोठ्या संख्येने उपस्थित होते.
आ. भा. मगदूम यांच्या जन्म शताब्दी निमित्त समडोळी येथील एका रस्त्याचे नामकरण 'कवीवीरानुयायी आ. भा. मगदूम पथ असे करण्यात आले. नामफलकाचे अनावरण महाराष्ट्र राज्य ग्राहक तक्रार निवारण आयोगाचे अध्यक्ष व मुंबई उच्च न्यायालयाचे माजी न्यायमूर्ती श्री भालचन्द्र वग्याणी यांच्या हस्ते करण्यात आले.
या प्रसंगी जवाहर शेतकरी सहकारी साखर कारखान्याचे चेअरमन व माजी खासदार मा. कलाप्पा आण्णा आवाडे, दक्षिण भारत जैन सभेचे चेअरमन श्री डी. ए. पाटील, महामंत्री पोपटलाल डोर्ले, समडोळीचे सरपंच श्री. वैभव पाटील, माजी सरपंच श्री. महावीर चव्हाण, श्री. सुरेन्द्र मगदूम, श्री. सुभाष मगदूम, जन्मशताब्दी समारोह समितीचे समन्वयक श्री अनिल चव्हाण व अनेक मान्यवर आणि ग्रामस्थ उपस्थित होते.

From Today/Yesterday, nine days auspicious celebration of Navratri has been started. Preparations for Garba, Dandia, worships are in full spirit. In world of spirituality, nine days of Navratri has very special significance. In Jainism, this period is considered as very auspicious to perform the Japs.
There is a schedule of Jap prescribed by Acharya Mahapragya ji for these 9 days.
I am attaching the same so that we all got the benefit from the same and activate the inner hidden powers.

The valedictory session of 7th ICPNA dialoguewill be presided over by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the former President of India on 12th Nov. at 3.30pm.
This conference is different from most other peace conferences in that it is not merelyacademic. Apart from the exchange of ideas on the highest possible level, it is our conviction that peace is not onlya matter of discussion and the implication of good ideas, but that peace belongs to the inherent nature of human beings themselves. The aggression and many other problems in the world are a manifestation or reflection of the inner problems each man or woman, and humankind in its totality.
This conference will not only exist of intellectualism, but take the people into a recognition of inner peace and a deeper understanding of what 'peace' actually is. Especially in the second part, we will go into some special yoga and meditation exercises, which will be guided by experienced practitioners. Of paramount importance for humanity, especially in the long term, is to change our lifestyles. We are aware that world peace cannot be accomplished today, not even tomorrow, but the effort has to be sustained at least as a counterbalance to other forces.
