On the eve of Samayik Diwas Samani Bhavit Pragya delivering speech at Amolak Bhawan, Raipur on 19th August 2009

The third day of the Paryushana Parva was celebrated as “Samayik Diwas” i.e. the day dedicated for an act of purifying ones soul. On the eve of “Samayik Diwas” Samani Bhavit Pragya ji said that the Samayik is a state of meditation which helps to control ones anger, jealousy, greediness, materialism, attraction, deceitfulness etc. resulting in strong mental balance avoiding tension and several diseases.

In true sense, samayik is a means to purify ones wrong act done in past. In samayik we adopt positive outlook and restrict negative outlook. One can inculcate qualities like art of dealing, coordination, passion to learn, flexibility and dedication only when he is spiritually sound. Samayik will never let you wander in wilderness. It will show you the path apart from giving you strength and dedication. Samayik develops intrinsic characters. Negative intention are damaging not only for body but also affects soul. It is unanimously believed that positive intention is important for success in life. Those who think right do right and success is always theirs.

Samani Vipul Pragya ji said that negative intention is a slow poison. Jealousy, hatred, selfishness, inferiority complex, guilt feeling, disappointment, revenge and worries are regarded as negative intention. In Jain religion there are 18 types of sins, in fact, are negative intention, which malign not only the mind but soul also. In samayik we restrict these 18 sins. The person feels happiness even in adverse situation in case of positive intention.
