►Paryushan Guides Towards The Restraint Over Food Consumption - Acharya Mahapragya

Ladnun, August 23, 2009.

Seventh day of Paryushan is Food restraint Day. On this ocassion, Acharya Mahapragya explains that food should be taken as a mean of driving the body for attaining the highest aim. It should not be consumed blindly so that it becomes the originator of diseases. Excess uncontrolled and unclassified eating develops the man as a research centre for doctors. And on other hand, controlled, limited and specified eating develops the man as a researcher of eternal truth. Paryushan is the mean to understand the basics of spirituality and also how to starts its application in the life. Food Restraint is the starting of spiritual journey.

In 12 types of penance, first is Anshan (leave the consumables), second is unodary (consume less than required) and third is rasparityag (limit the consumption of extra fatty, oily and other such eatable). When we will learn and apply the food restrain in our daily routine, it will result in more activation of brain, less negative thoughts and good health.

Conclusion:

Food restrain will make a person The Lord of The Senses not the puppet.
