To Maintain Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual Health

A healthy body has a healthy mind. People are influenced by external forces and are filled with tensions and conflicts. These result in mental and emotional tensions, which are causes for several physical and mental health problems. 'Preksha-Dhyan' practice leads to fearlessness and compassion. It helps in making the world a happy place to live in which is full of happy people. It is rightly said, "If you want no medication then you must go for meditation. "Prekshadhyan' strengthens the immune system and one can stay fit and healthy throughout his/her life.

Kayotsarg, one of the phases in Preksha-Meditation is a systematic progressive relaxation process. Kayotsarg activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which results in changing the root cause of tension. It drains out the unnecessary stress from the body and helps to attain a deeply relaxed state of mind and body. Kayotsarg saves one from the bad effects of tension.

The effect of 'Preksha-Dhyan' has been so obvious on the human body and its various systems that now even at All India Institute of Medical Sciences - AIIMS, Delhi the World Famous Hospital and Research Centre, heart patients are advised to practice Preksha-Meditation before their surgery and even at the post-operative stage. Camps are regularly being organised at Adhyatma Sadhana Kendra, Mehrauli, Delhi, for these camps and there in so much of demand that seats have to be reserved even before six months/at least six months in advance.

This has yielded miraculous results in healing the heart patients. Dr. S.C. Manchanda, the Head of Cardiology Dept. in AIIMS has been so influenced and convinced by the results of Preksha-Dhyan that such a bold step has been taken by the institute to prescribe this technique to most of the patients.

From this it has become very apparent and clear that 'Preksha-Dhyan' is not only a tool for transmutation of thoughts and increasing efficiency, not even just a technique of personality development but is also a therapy, a suitably blended and most effective in keeping physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health of a person as all these are inter related.
