Seminar on Marathi Literature of Saint Brahm Mahatisagar ►Pune ►14th March 2010

A full day seminar on the literature of 17th century Jain Saint Brahm Mahatisagar is organized at Pune on Sunday, 14th March 2010.

The seminar will be inaugurated by Dr. Arun Adsul, Acting Vice Chancellor of Pune University at 9.00 A.M.

In first session of theseminar, five scholars will speak on Jainism in Maharashtra and its impact on other sects. This section will be held under presidentship of Dr. Ashok Kamat, Ex President of Saint Namdev Chair of Pune University.

In session two, another five scholars will speak on the life and literature of Saint Brahm Mahatisagar, under presidentship of renowned writer Shri Shrenik Annadate,

The seminar is jointly organized by Shri Brahm Mahatisagar Jain Sahitya Sanshodhan aani Prakashan Kendra of Dahigaon (Solapur), Seth Hirachand Nemchand Jain Chair of Pune University and Bhandarkar Oriental Research University of Pune.

In the concluding session, renowned educationalist and scholar Dr. M.P. Mangudkar will give his speech. Shri Milind Phade, educationalist and activist will be the president of this session.
