Yuvacharya Mahashraman was today elevated as the 11th Acharya of Jain Shwetambar Terapanth sect.
His elevation comes following the death of Acharya Shree Mahapragya, the 10th Acharya of Jain Shwetambar Terapanth Samaj, on May 9, an office bearer of the samaj said.
BJP Leaders L K Advani, Rajnath Singh were among the dignitaries who attended the ceremony in Sardarshahar town here.
Around 40,000 followers of the sect were also present on the occasion.
Advani, while addressing the gathering, said he had a long association with Acharya Tulsi and Acharya Mahapragya and has learnt a lot from them.
