Brochure received from Mrs. Bhavnaben Modi (a non-Jain Resident of Chicago) sent by her to Dr. Manojbhai Dharamsi, JAINA Convention 2011 Program Committee Chair for VRG Drama "(V.R.) GANDHI BEFORE (Mahatma) GANDHI" now launched in HINDI (it is also played in Gujarati) with its first show which started from Feb. 11, 2011 at Sachor in Rajasthan and there after there were some shows played at Keshariyaji. Several more shows were lined up for Kolkata, Hyderabad etc.
I haven been receiving phones/emails from India, U. S.A. for more than 150 successful shows (in Gujarati) played so far in major cities like Kolkata, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and towns Dharampur, Mahuva (VRG's birth town), Palanpur, Mehsana (where Rs. 15 Lakhs were raised for Panjrapole there), including 2 shows late last year during Jain Temple Pratishtha Mahotsa at Antwerp. More than 175,000 persons have seen this Drama so far and tremendous interest is shown by our Jain Community in India for this Drama.
Ms. Bhavnaben Modi of MANPASAD, a National (North America) Promoter of several Indian Programs, is also a Promoter of this Drama in North America. She is committed to bring this Jain Principles oriented Drama in U.S.A. starting from JAINA Convention 2011 being held from July 1 to 4, 2011 at Houston, Tx.
This Drama "Gandhi Before Gandhi" was first released/performed on December 25, 2009 at JITO.
