We are sorry to inform you that Mr. Bal Patil passed away this afternoon. He shall be cremated at Kandivali this evening before sunset.
He was the man behind the Jain minority cause. And for many like us, he was our friend, philosopher and guide.

Mr. Bal Patil, a versatile writer, orator, thinker, literally championed the valid cause of Jain community untiringly till his last breath. In his death we have lost a great soul. In fact his death has created a void, and difficult to think of a good substitute.
