In the guidance of Sadhvi Shri Dr. Kundan Rekha Ji, a Spiritual & religious seen was witnessed in this materialistic world. In the occasion of Fasting of 26 people for 8 days (Athai), a felicitation ceremony was organized. A big rally took place one day before this event. This ceremony was inspiring every viewer towards Fasting (TAPASYA).”ATHAI” means fasting for 8 days & staying without food & relying only on water.
In this occasion Sadhvi Shri Dr. Kundan Rekha Ji said- “Doing such fasting is a miracle for today’s world. Tapasya (Fasting) increases will power, emotions becomes more pure & divine. Person doing TAPASYA learns to control his desire & senses. Such types of fasting are a miracle in this materialistic world. Where in the present scenario we only focus on eating & only eating, being without food for 8 days is not an easy task. But today we can see a brigade of 26 people who have proved themselves. Tapasya makes the soul free from sins. Viewing such a huge brigade of people doing Tapasya makes me really very happy.”
Sadhvi Shri Sobhagya Yasha Ji wished for all the TAPASVIS. She said it’s a very happy scene to see such a huge brigade of peoples doing Fasting.
Sadhvi Shri Kalyan Yasha Ji Said- “Tapasya fills our soul with colors of happiness, because when it is adopted all types of disturbances & sorrows goes away. Tapasya has a very great value in Jainism. This is one of the four roads to salvation.
In this occasion lots of people greeted, honored, felicitated the people who were in 8 days fasting. Different people presented different types of religious book, Cassettes, photos etc. to the TAPASVIS.
