TPF Raipur has successfully organized a Group Discussion on Discipline followed by self-control on 29th May, 2012 Tuesday between 7.30 P.M to 9:30PM at Amolak Bhawan, Raipur in the holy presence of learned Samani Sadhna Pragya ji.

The programme started with "Arhant Vandana". Mr. Surendra Kumar Choraria, the President, TPF, Raipur Branch has given the welcome speech. There-after the dais was handed over to Mrs. Ritu S. Jain (Choraria), the Coordinator, TPF, Raipur Branch

Samani Shri Sadhna Pragyaji in her highly motivational language explained that "self-discipline is just doing the same thing the right way whether anyone's watching or not". Self-discipline can be considered a type of selective training, creating new habits of thought, action, and speech toward improving yourself and reaching goals. Self-discipline can also be task oriented and selective.

Samni Shri Sadhna Pragyaji explained the followings aspects of Discipline as well as self-control very delightfully:

  1. One should be well discipline on its own: "Undoubtedly most difficult but self-management is an art of overcoming the habit of pointing out other. This is a common feature in today's world starting from a child to an old man. By managing oneself we can put forth an example before the others.
  2. Time values those who value time: Time & tide wait for no one. One should manage time and try to involve themselves in social activities on regular basis. One should try to mould himself as per time & situation & keep them updated in order to maintain harmony and balance between old and future generation.
  3. Internal coaching: Self talk has the ability to remind our goals, call up courage, reinforce our commitment and keep our conscious of the task at hand. It is much easier to look externally & say others need to undertake a change but we forget that the success step to leadership is to look at one selves and make a change within first, the outside circumstances will automatically undergo the change it all goes behind the saying success is a step by step process.
  4. Self-Knowledge: The first trait of Discipline is self-knowledge. We need to decide what behavior best reflects our goal & values. This process requires introspection and self-analysis.
  5. Conscious Awareness: Self-discipline depends upon conscious awareness as to both what we are doing and what we are not doing. Developing self-discipline takes time, and the key here is you are aware of your undisciplined behavior.
  6. Commitment to self-discipline: We must make an internal commitment to our goals and values.
  7. Courage: Self Discipline is highly dependent on courage. Don't pretend something is easy for you do when it is in fact very difficult. Instead, find the courage to face the difficulty.

She further explained the meaning of self-control as a control of the mind and its desires, urges, emotions & delusions. It is controlling the outgoing tendencies of the mind & the senses & bringing them back to our self within. Self-control is the key to success in any field of life & it is an indispensable necessarily for self-realization, the goal of spiritual quest. Self-control is the messages of sages & saints. Thus it happened to be very interactive and informative. All kinds of exceptions were discussed and the members were enlightened of various issues of the subjects.

There was very lively interaction session by the members which enlightened the religious audience. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri. Jayant Bhura, Secretary of TPF, Raipur.
