Acharya Shree Tulsi - A Legend Of Humanity: Universal Religion

Published: 29.12.2013

One who accepts the vows of Anuvrat begins on the path of right vision and right direction in life. Once, a young woman went to Acharya Shree Tulsi and said: "Acharya Shree, I believe in religion, but I can't follow it. I am busy in my household chores and I don't find time to practice my religion.

Acharya Tulsi replied, "How is your behavior with your family members?"

The young lady responded, "I have no difficulty in my family, I respect my elders and I love youngsters."

Acharya Tulsi probed further, "Do you ever become angry with others?"

The young woman said, "No, a stress free atmosphere prevails in our house. But, Acharya Shree, still I can't find out time to practice my religion."

The Acharya's response was simple: "To practice good conduct is true religion. One, who is free from vices such as anger, pride, attachment, jealousy and so on, is ideally religious. You do not need additional time to practice religion. Morality and human values in life shape a universal religion."

Thus, the young woman was given the solution to her problem. In this way Acharya Tulsi helped the people resolve their problems by helping them understand the true essence of religion.
