Shri Mahavirayanamah

Respected ISJS Well Wisher,
Sadar Jai Jinendra!

At the outset I and ISJS wish a very happy Mahavira Jayanti to you and your family. May his teaching always  guide  us  to  happiness  and  success  in  all  our  ventures,  be  they  worldly  or  trans-worldly.

This year, your school is celebrating its T enth  Anniversary of offering International Summer Schools for  Academic  Studies  of  Jainism  (ISSJS)  to  foreign  University  scholars.  This  milestone  had  been possible  due  to  the  whole hearted  support  of  our  well wishers donating  generously.  The ISSJS  programs so  far  had  been  attended  by  over  350  university  students,  research  scholars  and  faculty  members coming from  20  universities  of  15  countries.  ISJS  had  thus  been  instrumental  in  creating  a  brigade  of  young research  scholars  and  faculty  members  globally  to  undertake  such  activities  concerning  Jainism.

The Tenth ISSJS starts from June 1,  2014 and is being attended by a record number of 85 (Eighty five) overseas participants from USA, Canada, Europe, Africa and  Asia who have been registered to attend four  ISSJS-2014  programs  from  June  1   to  Aug  4   2014.

To celebrate  the 10th year of ISJS inception,  we are  planning an  event  cum  get together  on Sunday,  July 27,   2014  at  India  International  Centre,  New Delhi.  We  request  you  to  please  keep  this  day  free  to  join us  in  this  historical  celebration.  Formal  invitation  will  be  sent  to  you  in  due  course  of  time.

I am taking the liberty of attaching a brief report card about ISJS for the year 31.3.2013 - 31.3.2014.

With Kind Regards,
Shugan C. Jain
Chairman
