Seva Kendra

The first Seva Kendra was founded in Ladnun, Rajasthan, as home for aged nuns, whose health does not permit to continue life as rambling ascetics. Seva Kendra Ladnun was followed by those in Bidasar, Sri Dungargarh, Gangashahar and Rajaldesar, also Rajasthan.

In Sujangarh, Rajasthan, the first Seva Kendra was opened for monks, followed by the one in Chhapar. Maryada Mahotsav 2007, Acharya Mahaprajna announced another Seva Kendra to be opened for monks in Ladnun.

Meanwhile it has become a tradition for Terapanth mendicants that the first day of Maryada Mahotsav, one nun and one monk are asking on behalf of all nuns and monks of the Sangh to be accepted to give service for their seniors. Those selected for the service, are taking this responsibility very serious and giving exemplarily cheerful support to the weak.

Very often those are selected who have rambled very far and worked for a long period in public.
