Paryushan 2005 in Kolkata

There are some thousand Jain Terapanth families in Kolkata.

Paryushan was celebrated under the auspisious presence of sadhvijis.

The audience was listening to pravachan of Sadhvi Kanchan Prabhaji and Sadhvi
Manjurekhaji who spoke on life of Lord Mahavira in detail, about Mahavir's child days, his
diksha, and his sadhana and how he attained kevalya gyan and then gave his message to humanity.

Sadhvi Uditprabhaji spoke in length on the impressive acharayas of jain tradition who followed Lord Mahavira: Acharya Sudhrama, Acharya Jambu, Acharya Prabhav, Acharya Shayambhav, Acharya
Bhadrabahu, Acharya Sthulibhadra and many more.

Sadhvi Nirbhayprabhaji and Sadhvi Manuyashaji
spoke on the life of terapanth acharya.

At sunset time many ladies and gents done collective pratikraman.
