On Sunday, April 20th, the Jain Society of Greater Detroit joyously celebrated Mahavir Janma Kalyanak (MJK) with a vibrant Snatra Mahotsav performed by about 70 JOY and Study Class students.
A heartfelt thank you to Jaimik Shah and Mamata Maheshwari for their incredible leadership. Their meticulous planning, dedication, and unwavering commitment ensured every element of the Mahotsav was carried out with precision and elegance.

HELP TEMPLE, HELP YOURSELF!
Pranam,
As many of you know, our beloved temple has been serving the community for nearly 27 years. Over these decades, it has stood as a spiritual sanctuary, a cultural hub, and a place of peace, prayer, and togetherness.
However, with time comes increasing responsibility. The cost of maintaining and operating the temple has continued to rise steadily each year. In 2024 alone, we incurred over $600,000 in maintenance expenses, with the total operational cost exceeding $1 million. These costs include everything from utilities, repairs, and upkeep to day-to-day operations that allow us to continue serving the community in the best way possible.
Now more than ever, we need your generous support to help sustain our temple.
We are reaching out to every member of our community with a heartfelt appeal: please consider contributing just $1 a day — that’s $365 a year — to support the temple’s ongoing maintenance and operations.
This small, consistent commitment can make a big difference. You also have the option to pledge your support for multiple years, helping us plan ahead and maintain the temple with confidence and care.
Every dollar counts and every act of giving is a blessing. With your help, we can ensure that our temple continues to thrive for generations to come.
Thank you for your continued devotion and generosity.
