Shubhkaran Surana was born in 1921 in Parihara in Churu district (Rajasthan, India). He was very close to the revolutionary leader Ram Manohar Lohia and was influenced by socialist ideology. He is a man of principles and progressive thinking. His thoughts are revolutionary.
He is strictly against conservative fundamentalism, social evils and malpractices. Shubhkaran Surana was one of the first persons in Rajasthan to work for the removal of the veil system (parda pratha).
He married in 1940 or 1941 and his wife did not follow the veil system even then.
Shubhkaran Surana is a great scholar and an author.
