2. PARLIAMENT OF WORLD RELIGIONS
JAINA's Representation at the Parliament of World Religions Conference & Live Streaming
Jains will have a strong presence at the Parliament of World Religions this year at Salt Lake City, Utah from Oct 15-19, 2015. There will be a number of speakers who will be sharing the relevance of Jain values and their applications in various sectors such as environment sustainability, interfaith dialogue & collaboration among others.
For the first time JAINA will be having a Jain Temple at the World Parliament which is going be at the main entrance of the convention center by the Registration center.
Join us for the First Live Streaming Parliament! All Parliament plenaries, opening and closing as well as up to 100 major programs will be streamed live. Pre-registration is required.

Jain Center of Greater Hartford sponsors Ahimsa Seminar on Oct 1
I. Celebrating Ahimsa Day at University of Connecticut
On October 1, 2015, the Jain Center of Greater Hartford sponsored the Annual Ahimsa Day Seminar which was hosted by the University of Connecticut (UCONN) at the Thomas J. Dodd Center. This event was in honor of Mahatma Gandhi's birthday as many places have had events across the country in the spirit of sharing the power of Non-Violence.
This year's seminar was titled "Four Fathers, Four Journeys", which featured Featured Mark Barden, Ian Hockley, Jeremy Richman and David Cole Wheeler. Each of these four fathers lost their child at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14, 2012.

The 2nd phase of Jain Youth Exchange Program [JYEP].
This year's inaugural JYEP Program will take twelve Jain Youths (ages 18 - 25) from Canada / USA to India for approximately three weeks trip starting on December 18th 2015 and finishing on January 10, 2016!
The Jain Youth Exchange Program offers exposure to different cultures ranks as one of the most powerful ways to promote Indian culture and Jain way of life. The Jain Youth Exchange program intends to provide hundreds of young students with the opportunity to meet people from other countries and to experience new cultures, planting the seeds for a lifetime of international understanding.
